For the last decade of my life, I have worked to mentor adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse. Through that experience, I have discovered that peer to peer interaction is often as helpful as professional counseling, though of course I do not and will not encourage anyone to abandon their therapy in place of the support offered through our group; rather, I try to offer as many tools as possible to help adult survivors navigate the murky waters of emotional healing and build a happy, healthy, and satisfying life.
In the past I maintained a (somewhat) regular blog, One Survivor to Another, allowing me to share my own personal experiences with healing from childhood abuse, as well as share tips and encouragement that have helped me along the path to recovery. Recently, I have instead switched to using a podcast by the same name, One Survivor to Another, to reach people that are struggling with feeling alone on their journey towards healing.
Perhaps you or someone you love is struggling with the many challenges of healing from such devastating trauma. Please explore my podcast, my blog, share with anyone who might benefit from a heartfelt discussion about healing, and feel free to leave comments, suggestions, or questions.
